Yesterday Thursday (August 23), media personality, actress, reality star and business woman Lala Antony was spotted in Manhattan enjoying the nice NYC weather. She had on an $294 Givenchy Rottweiler Print Jersey Tank Top which is from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection and orange jeans paired with $785 Yves Saint Laurent Mailbu high top sneakers.

Last month, platinum-selling singer Ashanti joined forces with her good friend Fat Joe on the set of his “Pride & Joe” visual shoot in NYC. Ashanti mixed her up style, looking like a 21-year-old hood girl from New York. Yesterday Wednesday (September 5), singer Ashanti stopped by the Today show to talk about and promote her upcoming projects. Aside from gearing up to release her forthcoming album, Braveheart which is scheduled to hit stores and iTunes in 2013, Ashanti now serves as executive producer and anchor of Fuse News.

She compared the show to MTV’s ‘TRL’, “It’s basically a music news show that’s kinda filling the void. This is something I think we’re going to pioneer and inject something back into music.”

On her new album Braveheart. “It’s something for women, just being empowering. This album is something very deep,” said Ashanti. She then added, “I’m going places that I haven’t gone on different albums.”

On being the CEO & Founder of  her label Written Entertainment and being hands on with everything. “It is so important to be hands-on with everything that you are doing. The world perceives you as who you are and your image, and you have to have everything to do with it. So you have to take responsibility and be a part of your brand.”

R&B singer Ashanti is back with another hit in the making! On her latest offering, the multi-platinum singer links with R&B legend R. Kelly for “That’s What We Do”. The track serves as the second single off Ashanti’s upcoming album, Braveheart which is due in stores and iTunes soon. Yesterday, she was accompanied by her dogs and guarded by armed security as she walked down a street in Manhattan. Multi-platinum Grammy Award winning R&B/Soul singer Ashanti is returning to her music roots. The former Murder Inc artist released her last album, The Declaration in 2008. The album debuted at #2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and #6 on the Billboard 200, selling 86,000 copies in its first week and 295,000 copies overall in the U.S.

After numerous delays and setbacks, Ashanti’s new album Braveheart arrives on February 18 via her label Written Entertainment in conjunction with eOne Music.

She just released the official cover and promo photos for her fifth studio album. The photos were taken by Robert Ector. Braveheart spawned the Busta Rhymes-assisted “The Woman You Love,” “That What We Do” Ft. R. Kelly and “Never Should Have“. After numerous delays and setbacks, Ashanti’s new album Braveheart arrives on February 18th via her own label Written Entertainment in conjunction with eOne Music. Last week, I posted the official album cover and promo pics. See the original post here!

Ashanti arrived in Miami last night Thursday (January 16) and filmed the Rick Ross-assisted single “I Got It”. The visual was shot at The Bank Lounge in Downtown, Miami. Birdman, DJ Khaled, the song’s producer, L.T. Hutton and Slowbuck stopped by the shoot and are expected to appear in the visual. Expect the final treatment in the coming weeks.

The multi-platinum R&B/Hip-Hop singer styled in various pieces during the shoot including a corset dress, fur coat, skirt, bustier, and thigh high boots.

Braveheart spawned the Busta Rhymes-assisted “The Woman You Love,” “That What We Do” Ft. R. Kelly and “Never Should Have“. She also recorded a song with Beenie Man called “First Real Love“. The album features production from Jerry Wonda, Detail and Sak Pase.
